BIOPAC Systems Inc. & JoR AB presents:
BIOPAC Nordic Workshop
FINLAND, MAY 23, at:
Turku University
This workshop offers an introduction to measurement technology and physiological data collection, focusing on signals like EDA, HRV and EMG. You’ll learn what makes a good signal and common pitfalls to avoid. Topics include analog vs. virtual channels, control/meta channels, signal processing and new automation tools that require no coding.
A special focus is placed on integrating physiological measurements with Virtual Reality (VR), including how to design VR experiments and how to synchronize VR environments with BIOPAC systems. The workshop also introduces fNIRS technology, highlighting the advantages of the Medelopt system – an exo-skeleton system (which is different from other traditional caps). Try the exo-skeleton on and be amazed by the comfort!

Thanks to the Dept. of Psychology and Speech-Language Pathology at Turku University for your help with hosting the workshop! We are happy to offer a BIOPAC workshop in Turku for the first time.
Learn the principles of measurement technology and signalprocessing and some common measures in psychology and cognitive science and physiology in particular. We explain how to avoid common mistakes in data collection. We go through several examples and explain the details of common signal processing workflows in psychophysiology.
Learn what is required to make experiments in Virtual Reality, what do you need, and what you need to learn, and how to not make it more complicated than it has to be. We will show step by step how to make a real VR world with physiological measurements using the BIOPAC system and eyetracking from scratch without beeing a programmer. And then we show how to take it from there and proceed by adding code in Python!
We are proud to present a new exo-skeleton based (CAP-FREE) fNIRS system for wholehead brain imaging. We explain the differences between a CAP-design and a exo-skeleton, and how it matters to your research!
This is a great opportunity to meet
both with JoR and other researchers!
