New VR compatible whole-head multimodal fNIR with EEG

We are introducing a new fNIR brain imaging system that has a unique framework that fits any headsize and you can modify the distance between emitter and receiver. You can also add EEG electrodes to the same array with fNIR sensors to get an integrated multimodal system.

The array can fit up to 16 emitters and 32 detectors that can sample at 32Hz and it can measure over the whole cortex.

An optimized sensor matrix is availbe for use with VR HMD.

It is easier to apply than a closed cap as it makes it very easy to remove the hair under each sensor which is very important for signal quality. It is also more comfortable and applies less tension on the head than a cap.

For those of you who are familiar with other fNIR system which is designed only for the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex - this new system gives you access to ALL brain areas, has more channels with flexible locations and higher sample rate and can do multimodal fNIR/EEG.

UPCOMING NORDIC fNIR PRODUCT SEMINARS!

Seminars are planned in the nordic countries during the fall together with the experts from manufacturer. We will both show the new multimodal fNIR and also cover advanced eyetracking software for VR and mention other news.

Approximate agenda, one day, with breaks and lunch covering:

fNIRS, recording with full-head system + EEG
Virtual Reality and Eye tracking – experiment design and analysis
Integration with peripheral physiology (EDA, ECG etc)

There will likely be a small fee for the seminar, just to cover extra hosting costs and lunch etc. More information to come.

Time and location are to be decided soon, so please let us know if your institution is interested in this. If you would like to host the nordic seminar at your university please let us know! We encourage you to contact fredrik@jor.se with any questions or wishes about the seminar as soon as possible before the detailed plans are settled.

This is also a great opportunity to meet and have discussions about ongoing projects.
